Amaya Estrada, born in Virginia, lives and works in South Florida. Her interdisciplinary practice spans sculpture, printmaking, handmade paper, and experimental processes, investigating cultural identity, duality, displacement, and belonging through personal narrative and environmental inquiry. Drawing inspiration from the landscapes and native flora of South Florida and Puerto Rico, her work examines the tension between environmental art and handmade processes, revealing intersections of personal and ecological displacement. Printmaking functions as a central medium, allowing her to explore themes of diaspora, memory, resistance, and transformation through layered, tactile surfaces.

Estrada is currently the Community Engagement Manager at the Cox Science Center and Aquarium, where she leads public programming, community partnerships, and accessible STEAM initiatives. Previously, she served as a Museum Educator and Resident Teaching Artist at the Norton Museum of Art, leading the Family Studio Program and arts outreach initiatives across Palm Beach County. She is the founder of the Norton Artist Collective, a staff-led initiative focused on artistic exchange, professional development, and collaboration among museum colleagues. She also serves as a Board Member of the Art Committee for Art in Public Places, Palm Beach County.

She is a former fellow of the Arts Administrators of Color Fellowship through the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County and a past participant in O, Miami's Greenhouse Fellowship for early-career creatives.
